During an internship at the United Nations Headquarters as an Information Systems Intern, I assisted the Information Management/Systems officers with a number of high-priority projects. I coordinated the preparation of the inventory of all treaty maps published in the UN Treaty Series on paper since 1945, their digitization, records creation in the Documentum-based treaty database and their web-publication on the United Nations Treaty Section Collection website.

Also, I successfully completed a major treaty archiving project which involved the classification and storage of a large number of treaty registration files and close liaison with the UN Treaty Series publication team and the staff from the UN Cartographic Section (Logistic Support Division, Department of Field Support) and Archives Records Management Section (Office of Central Support Services).

In addition, I created a file system consisting of the digitized issues of the Monthly Statement of Treaties and International Agreements published from 1971 to 1998. This is a valuable collection of legal materials which is used by the Legal Officers of the Treaty Section and the Legal Assistants in all manner of legal research and reporting on treaty law matters and practice.
